About
Library Street Collective (LSC) is a contemporary gallery space, located in Downtown Detroit, Michigan. LSC celebrates artists, who push the boundaries of traditional medium and exhibition space within
their works. Besides curating exhibitions, LSC also contributes their public programs to the artistic renaissance of the city’s public, private and heritage spaces.
The visual language of the identity experiments and pushes the potential of traditional analog techniques such as drawing, painting, paper pasting, and collaging, etc.
By using and expanding these traditional methods, the identity’s visuals also illustrate the ethos of Detroit as a city of dynamism, resistance and spontaneity after undergoing the economic downturns from the 1950s.
