About
Roma Publications is an independent publisher, based in Amsterdam. Roma celebrates and distributes design and written work of many autonomous publications, institutions, artists, and designers. They also contribute to the international audiences and design education with their curated exhibitions.
The visual language of the rebrand experiments with contemporary typography by mixing different classifications of typefaces, serif, san serif, slab serif, monospace and display. To celebrate the diversity in Roma’s body of work, vibrant color is utilized, yet balanced by neutral ones. Brackets as a graphic treatment are used to frame contents and images, also to visually imitate the stacking motion of books.
